Cannabis ruderalis is a landrace strain from Eastern Europe that is used nowadays to produce autoflowering varieties. These plants are able to thrive and reproduce in the short summers and very harsh winters of their native areas. Sensi Seeds crossed this landrace with indicas from the south to add potency. The result is an extra hardy, semi-autoflowering cultivar that is super easy to grow, even for beginners. She is a mix of 90% indica and 10% ruderalis genes.
Due to its ruderalis genetics, this compact plant can grow almost everywhere. All you need is soil, pots, a little bit of plant food and a spot with sun. What stands out the most with Ruderalis Indica is her semi-autoflowering ability. That means that half of the seeds will flower according to age, and the other half is photoperiod-dependent. The photoperiodic seeds will finish after 40-50 days of flowering while the automatic seeds usually start to bloom after they have developed their 5th to 7th true pair of leaves. So their overall life cycle is about 10-12 weeks. Because of the ruderalis genes, the yield is rather medium. Outdoors, Ruderalis Indica can be harvested at the end of September.
This strain is very low in THC compared to modern hybrids but pretty high in CBD. That means the effect doesn't get you that strong high that you may be used to, but has a more subtle effect with medicinal value. This makes her the perfect choice for medical cannabis users that want to benefit from the cannabinoids rather than being all-out stoned and unable to function.
