If we have reason to suspect that the ordered seeds are destined for growing cannabis on a larger-than-private scale, we reserve the right to dismiss that specific order.
Bubblegum is an old school strain of mysterious origin that conquered every smoker's heart with its sweet taste and powerful indica stone combined with a sativa euphoric high.
Thought to have first emerged in the 1970’s, little is actually known about the origin of Bubblegum, other than that it originated in Indiana, USA. From here it made its way across the United States to be later mixed with an unknown indica. Bubblegum then made its way over to Holland in the early 90’s, where this strain was stabilised and spread. The effort that was put into Bubblegum was worth it, with this powerhouse having won numerous awards during its life, including 2nd place for best overall strain in the 1995 and 1999 Cannabis Cups.
The taste and aroma of Bubblegum are aptly summed up by its name. It produces a very sweet and berry flavored smoke that is both pungent and smooth. Being a hybrid, Bubblegum seems too perfectly blend the typical effects of both indica and sativa strains. It doesn’t take much to numb the body and move it into a couch lock, all the while taking your mind on a happy and euphoric ride.
The power and mixed effects of Bubblegum have made it popular among the medical crowd, as it is reported to be effective at relieving pain, helping with stress and anxiety, as well as depression and insomnia. Other uses reported include for treating migraines, ADHD, arthritis and bipolar disorder.
So how does it grow? Well, in an indoor setting, Bubblegum has a flowering time of roughly 8-9 weeks and can produce reasonable yields on the region of 300-450g/m². Outdoors, this beauty is normally ready for harvest by the end of October and produces in excess of 300 grams per plant. Bubblegum will grow into a medium-tall plant, not too branchy.
Although the yields are comparatively small to other strains, however, the quality of the product is not to be missed. She is a good grower, and even novices should be able to get respectable results that produce high quality, old-school product. One thing we would say though is that Bubblegum has an extremely pungent odour when growing, that is not subtle in any way – so take this into account when picking somewhere to grow.
Bubblegum has been crossed often with other strains. Check out here below all available cannabis strains where Bubblegum is part of the genetics:
